About the workshop: Supporting someone experiencing mental health challenges can make a big difference to their wellbeing and recovery. Learn how to recognise signs of mental health challenges and gain practical tools you can use to support people when they need it most.

Our experienced facilitators bring professional and personal experience to the workshop, running interactive activities and stimulating conversations that bring the learning to life. Participants will receive a workbook with MH101® notes, additional reading, a directory for support and assistance, plus access to an interactive e-learning to apply what you learn.

Learning outcomes:

  • Recognise signs of mental health challenges
  • Use Te Whare Tapa Whā to support mental wellbeing
  • Relate to what people with mental health challenges are experiencing
  • Respond supportively to mental distress.

Who can attend: Anyone aged 18 and over who does not have previous mental health training and is not a registered health professional.
